    Our Vacation Home

    May 25, 2023 / 2 Comments

Two years ago we resurrected our desire to go camping. Covid had found us spending most of our time at home, which was not a big problem since we have plenty of beautiful wooded land to enjoy on Salt Spring Island.…

    Time for New Adventures

    May 23, 2023 / 3 Comments

It’s May 2023. Spring has finally arrived after several long, cool weeks. We have finished (for now) tending to the garden – weeding, fertilizing, planting. The pink rhododendron in the photo is in our northwest flower bed, and the bees are…

May 2022 – Weekend at French Beach

    June 25, 2022 / No Comments

French Beach Provincial Park is relatively small with only 69 campsites available. Since the campground is usually full, we were lucky to be able to reserve a site for the holiday weekend in May. The location of our site is shown…

    May 18, 2022 / No Comments

Spring always arrives with a fresh new set of colours to tantalize us and awaken our senses from the winter slumber. Despite the colder spring we have had in BC this year, this is still the case, and David and I…

About Me

I have been writing and publishing articles since I was a teenager. It is a bit startling to realize that I have been doing this for so long. I began with short newspaper reports during high school, then moved on to newsletters for various organizations. This blog was created in 2010 to report on my trip to Paris, and I now post occasionally on various subjects as the spirit moves. I hope you enjoy it!
